Resources for Chartership/Certification Candidates

A Selection of Resources for Candidates

Newly Published: ‘Building Your Portfolio’

The revised 3rd edition of the CILIP ‘Building Your Portfolio’ handbook is now available from Facet Publishing. This edition includes dedicated guidance on using the CILIP Professional Knowledge and Skills Base (PKSB) as well as the CILIP Virtual Learning Environment (VLE). Edited by the Chair of CILIP’s Professional Registration and Accreditation Board, Kath Owen and including case studies from actual submissions, this is an invaluable guide to helping members get to grips with Professional Registration.

Further details are available at: http://www.facetpublishing.co.uk/title.php?id=300204&category_code=38

CILIP YH will be purchasing two copies of the title and these will be available at our events for members to browse and borrow.

Exemplar Statements on the VLE

There are now three reflective statements from Chartership submissions on the VLE.  Although the evidence cannot be viewed, the statements will be useful to candidates of all levels in demonstrating the standard of work required.  They also demonstrate ways in which the statement has been written and show the broad range of evidence that candidates have evidenced as part of their submission.

On the Web

Here is a blog, written by Helen Matthews, which I came across recently.  It is very well written and explains the CILIP process for Chartership (details also apply to Certification candidates).  The blog post is available at: https://technicaltattle.wordpress.com/2014/12/10/743/
